In the United States Army, all Soldiers are given a military address. This is usually displayed on the front of their uniforms, right below the name tag. Using your US Army military address can be beneficial if you’re applying for a new job or moving as part of your deployment.

Box number on your resume or not — and if so, when in your resume text below that information should appear; somewhere after the city/state/country address used for contact info (if applicable).

When you are transitioning to civilian life after serving the country in the military, a U.S. Army mailing address is of far more value than any employer can ever imagine. Many applicants fail to include their active duty U.S Army mailing address on their resume because they feel that it is not worth listing as it does not indicate military experience or ability. The truth is, your active duty U.S. Army mailing address should be used for all applications where it may be asked.
