Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club are all well-known names in county cricket, with their own unique histories and traditions associated with them. You can also find Hampshire (the most recent addition), Sussex and Surrey who have been playing competitively since the 19th century respectively but only recently attained first class status (the highest level). Derbyshire, Somerset and Northamptonshire were also once part of this elite group but have since been relegated down to Division Two; Gloucestershire were founder members of first class cricket back in 1864 but withdrew after just two seasons due to financial difficulties but returned again as a founding member of Division Two upon its formation twenty years later – they remain one of only two counties never to have won promotion back up through its various formats during its history thus far!

This is a story of how one fan was presented with a replica shirt by his favourite player, Chris Read. The fan has been ill and unable to travel to matches for the past few years, but this year he was able to attend when the County Cricket Club played against Worcestershire at New Road in Worcester.

The player’s name was announced before play started, and then every time there was an opportunity for fans to get close up photos with him during breaks in play – even though you couldn’t really see anything from where we were standing!

These tickets will be presented by members of both sides at the end of each game so that he can watch them all together with his family or friends. He said: “I’ve been going since 1972 and I enjoy watching every single match they play – it’s brilliant! My son loves watching cricket too and this would mean we could go together on occasions if needed.”
